couples counselling

facing it together

In couples counselling the counsellor will look at the relationship rather than the individual, and the impact that these issues can have on the relationship. Just like most things in life, relationships need time and energy to work. Therefore, as well as looking at what has happened and how the relationship is now, the counsellor will also help you to look at how you would like the relationship to be, and how to move forwards.

what to expect:

Counselling can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs and the type of approach you choose.

Sessions are usually held weekly and last around 80 minutes*, though this may vary according to the practitioner and the issues you bring.

Before starting on your theraputic journey, you’ll be offered a free, pre-contractual call, giving you the chance to discuss your needs, ask questions, and ensure you feel comfortable with the counsellor’s approach.

*couples should allow for at least 80 minutes in session.
