Health, as defined by The World Health Organisation, is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
At this time of so many challenges in our lives it is vital to look after your health as best as you can. This should include maintaining a varied diet of good quality food, exercising in a way you enjoy and spending time outside if you can. Walking is one of the best boosts for health as it keeps the metabolism active and improves the immune system's function.
Being in nature is increasingly recognised as being important to improving physical and emotional health and numerous studies go some way to confirming this. Even being able to look out onto natural surroundings is shown to be of benefit.
Martin Grasby, Acupuncturist and Bowen Technique Practitioner and Claire Pickin, a retired GP have been owners of Shipston Therapy Centre since April 2005.
They are helped with the day-to-day running of the centre by their receptionists Jane Watts, Barbara Shepherd and Claire Balmer.
Each patient carries his own doctor inside him.
We are best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to get to work.
Visionaries, past and present, know that we must look beyond the symptom in order to effect true healing.
Many of the therapies available here aim to do just that and to address the underlying cause of a condition.
Our aim is to enable you to move towards a balanced state of health and we do this with a high level of professionalism and care.
